Chairman Wayne Mitchell
AASA, AAIM

Mr Mitchell is a qualified accountant with over 30 years extensive senior management experience in the natural resource sector, both in Australia and in South East Asia.

In the early 1970's, Mr Mitchell and two partners were the initial promoters and developers of Thailand's major zinc deposit located at Mae Sot, Northern Thailand. This resource deposit is now owned and operated by a Thai public company, Padaeng Industry Company Ltd.

Mr Mitchell specialises in the areas of financial planning, fund raising and project evaluation. He is also a past Chairman of listed company Central Victorian Gold Mines N.L and a director of Diversified Mineral Resources NL where he initiated and led the project team for the Burton Downs Coal project taken over by Portman Mining before being sold for more than $200 million.

Dr Andrew Firek
M. Sc., Ph.D., FAusIMM, FAIE

Dr Firek has been involved in the coal mining and processing industry at operational and executive levels for over 20 years. Dr Firek is a former group leader at the CSIRO, Division of Fossil Fuels in Sydney. He was a United Nations expert in fossil fuels and has worked on coal, oil and gas projects in Europe and Africa. He managed teams involved in coal and oil from coal projects at the CSIRO and has participated in developing coal and mineral exploration strategies for projects in Tasmania. Dr Firek is also familiar with downstream processing of coal, oil and gas that helps in evaluating feasibility of the fuel resources.

After leaving the CSIRO in the mid 80s, he became Project Director at Memtec Ltd. He subsequently joined Pancontinental Mining Ltd where he was involved in gold and base metal projects including the development and commissioning of a $220 million magnesia production facility near Rockhampton in Queensland. During this project he supervised construction and commissioning of some of its processing stages.

Dr Firek was a director of technology and mineral residue processing group Hydromet Technologies Ltd. He also was founding executive director of the listed company, Allegiance Mining NL which later discovered Tasmania's largest nickel sulphide resource the Avebury deposit. Allegiance was taken over by Zinifex in 2008 for over $800 million. In 2005 Dr Firek co founded listed company Zelos Resources NL with backing from cornerstone investor Gujarat NRE Coke Ltd, the largest manufacturer of low ash metallurgical coke in India. Dr Firek is currently a director of Gujarat NRE Minerals Limited and two Gujarat subsidiaries. As a result of merger activities, Zelos Resources NL has become the ASX listed Gujarat NRE Minerals Limited group with a market capitalization of over $1 billion.

Director Ian Craig
B App Sci (Min Eng), FAusIMM

Mr Craig is a mining engineer who retired from Peabody in February 2008. He maintains an active role in the coal industry through his involvement as a director with MISC, Dingo and Boardwalk Resources.

He was former Group vice President and Managing Director of Peabody Energy Australia Pty Limited (Brisbane) between 2004 and 2007. At this point Peabody had 10 operating mines in Australia in the Bowen Basin, Hunter Valley, Western Coalfields, and Southern Coalfields, including those acquired during the Excel acquisition.

Prior to his appointment in Australia by Peabody, Mr Craig was Group Executive for Peabody's Powder River Basin operations in Wyoming, USA. Mr Craig's past employment has been at senior managerial/operational positions in the coal mining industry of NSW and Queensland.

Mr Craig is a past director of Queensland Resources Council and past member of NSW Minerals Council Executive Committee. He holds the degree of Bachelor of Applied Science Mineral Engineering (Mining) and has completed various post graduate Management and Finance programs, including a program at Columbia Business School, New York. He is also a fellow of AusIMM.

Head of Commercial and Development David Smith
B Econ, Dip Mgmt - Executive MBA

Mr Smith is an investment banker of 15 years experience, and was most recently at BBY Limited where he was Head Equity Capital Markets and a member of the group's Executive and Risk Management Committee.

Mr Smith joined BBY in 2004 and since that time, BBY's Corporate Finance division has raised more than $4 billion for its corporate clients and now maintains regular Top 15 positions in the various Australian Investment Banking League Tables.

He has extensively advised corporate clients in the bulk commodities sectors of coal and iron ore. In 2008, the BBY Corporate Finance division won the "Best Corporate Deal of the Year" award at the Australian Stockbrokers Foundation Awards for a coal sector client.

Mr Smith maintained a Top 10 ranking in the annual SMH Age East Coles Investment Banking surveys from 2008-2010. Prior to joining BBY, he worked at Ord Minnett and then JPMorgan Chase.

David is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years experience with various SME's, listed and private company groups as well as services to various governmental agencies. David is also CFO of Orpheus Energy Limited.

Geoff Kidd

Mr Kidd has extensive experience in hands-on roles driving technological and operational efficiencies in new mine development and managing coal projects. He has over 25 years' experience at a senior level within the mining, engineering, contracting, power, chemical and petrochemical industries. His professional experience in the coal Industry has primarily focussed on new mine developments and the expansion of existing mines.

Before joining Coalworks, Mr Kidd's most recent position was as Coal Manager, New South Wales with management and engineering consultancy, Connell Hatch. Prior to that, he was Engineering and Project Manager for White Mining Limited (WML) where he had a diverse range of responsibilities including the surface works of WML's North Goonyella 3.5 million tonne underground coal mine in the Bowen Basin, Queensland. He was also responsible for the design of the Coal Terminal and Rail Spur Lines at Jerry's Plains, which was conceived to handle the potential stockpiling and rail loadout of production from WML's United Colliery, and the adjoining Wambo and Lemington Mines.

While working for White Industries Australia, Mr Kidd was responsible for the design, management and budgetry control of key surface components of Coal India's open-cut eight million tonne per year mine at Piparwar in India. During his employment as Manager with US company Roberts & Schaefer, Australia, Mr Kidd was involved in winning the design and management of the Mount Arthur North Project for BHP Billiton. In an earlier period at Simon Carves, Australia he was involved in the design and construction of the Ulan Coal Preparation Plant (now Xstrata-owned).

Company Secretary Nathan Bartrop
LLB, B Com, ACIS

Mr Bartrop is a Chartered Secretary and associate member of Chartered Secretaries Australia. His previous role was as Assistant Company Secretary at Mirabela Nickel Limited, a nickel producer in Brazil. Prior to this, he worked at ASX for 2 years as a Listings Adviser in Perth which involved the provision of interpretation and advice to existing and prospective listed entities and their advisers, in relation to the application of the ASX Listing Rules.

Mr Bartrop also has previous experience working in litigation and dispute resolution, as well as tax consulting and has a Bachelor of Laws & Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.

Senior Advisor Chris Hagan

Mr Hagan has over 25 years' experience advising publicly-listed and private companies on legal and corporate affairs, including large scale capital raising strategies, IPOs and restructures. Some of the highlights of his career include co- founding and acting as CEO of Allegiance Mining NL in its early years before its major nickel discovery and takeover by Zinifex in 2008 for over $800 million.
He also co-founded Zelos Resources NL, an ASX-listed company which has now become ASX listed Gujarat NRE Minerals Limited group with a market capitalisation of over $1 billion.

He acted as consultant to the Burton Downs Coal Project and was principal consultant to securing the Oaklands Coal Project from the NSW government and then principal consultant to the Initial Public Offering of Coalworks Limited, an IPO which closed oversubscribed and raised $25 million.

He has a Bachelor of Laws & Art from the University of New South Wales and has specialist expertise in legal areas such as intellectual property, mining, mergers and acquisitions, prospectuses and commercial transactions. He has a strong track record of success in leading legal teams in successful takeover campaigns, including tactical litigation. He retains his qualification as a solicitor and is a Law Society Accredited Specialist in Business Law.

Senior Consultant Sin Pyng Teng
B Econ., Dip Fin Mgmt., CPA, FAICD, AFAIM

Mr Teng is a Certified Practicing Accountant, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Associated Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Mr Teng has been employed by several manufacturing companies in senior accounting positions. Mr Teng has since 1990 worked full time as a consultant involved with mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring. He has had several years experience on project development and investor relations and has a strong association with the investment community in Singapore and Malaysia. He has also consulted with respect to a number of Initial Public Offerings and public company capital raisings and stock exchange practice. Mr Teng currently holds a position as director and company secretary to other public listed companies.

Corporate Solicitor Amber Courtenay-Foster

Ms Courtenay Foster is Corporate Solicitor of Coalworks. She has worked as a lawyer in Australia, Singapore and London. Ms Courtenay-Foster had advised on corporate and commercial projects in the UK, Europe, United States, South East Asia and Australia. Ms Courtenay-Foster also spent time as a as an advisor in the NSW State Government and the UK Parliament. Working in Europe and Asia, Ms Courtenay was an in-house lawyer for a large investment fund.

Exploration Manager Matt Morgan

Mr Morgan has 15 years experience in coal, gold, antimony, and iron ore mining & exploration, both Open Cut and Underground. He has a diverse set of skills covering mine geology, quality control and mining engineering, and mine management roles.

His previous management experience includes Open Cut roles with BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Theiss, and Underground Mine Manager for Mandalay Resources.

Project Manager Steve Harper

Mr Harper has 35 years experience in project  management, study management, design management and engineering design, in the field of building, infrastructure, mining, petrochemical, heavy industrial and process. His previous experience includes Engineering Manager for BHP's Mount Arthur North Mine Development, Project Manager for CSR's Oberon Sawmill Developement, Study Manager for TOP Muara Wahau Coal Mine Development in Indonesia, Acting Project Manager and JO Representative for the Bontang Coal ShipLoading Terminal Expansion and Study Manager for CVRD's Belvedere Mine Development.
